OK - so there's only one bird, the other one stopped off for a sunshine break before making the last dash for Cody. Perfect destination for me this week as making a card for Jamie was on my to-do list - all the ones in my box are for girls.
No Winnie-the-Pooh, no rocking horse, I just went with what I had.
5 3/4" square base. Unknown 12x12 paper punched with the ticket corner punch, and little buttons added. Image is Penny Black, stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with re-inkers. The bees are from the same set, have Stickles on their wings and are popped on on foam. The bird is Art Impressions and the sentiment is Woodware -they too are up on foam tape.
I think this came into my mind because when I was little I had a mobile my dad made featuring characters from various books, and one of the elements was Winnie-the-Pooh hanging from his balloon as he tried to get honey from the tree. So after seeing the sneak peek last night, and seeing the challenge this morning I was thinking bees and honey
Congratulations to Jamie and family, and Grandma Pat and the Buckle Man.
Honeycomb icecream for a treat - shh, don't tell Bear that it has nothing whatsoever to do with real honey ;-).

Your card is just adorable. I love the image and you have colored it so beautifully. The little town of Cody will be over run at the post office trying to get Jamie all of these great cards. Maybe they will have to put an extra mail carrier on to deliver all of the teapot cards.

Oh gosh, look at those little bees and that bluebird! Wonderful. You certainly had the right paper to use as a background. I absolutely love the bear image and how you've colored it. Beautiful card!
