I received this beautiful poppy poem stamp from our infamous defective detective agent 9999, a/k/a debzi333, for my b-day. I fell in love with it and decided to tackle it today as our lil' high IQ stamper has a b-day coming up this month I do believe. I hear she's having her 65th b-day!! LOL!!
I haven't been able to do the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges that I so love for some time due to holidays and other issues, but I went back and created this card based on the MMSC80.
I thought it only fitting that I use the SU in color poppy parade to go with my poppy image. And they call me a Fruitcake???? Sometimes it amazes me how smart I can be! LOL!!
I embossed the image in black and then colored the image with a combination of markers that I blended together - poppy parade and peach parfait. I blended old olive and pear pizzaz for the leaves. I sponged the image panel with marina mist, peach parfait and pear pizzaz. Added some dazzling diamonds for the flowers and parts of the leaves. Used the Spellbinder Nestie #11 for the frame of the image.
The rest is poppy parade dsp, checkered ef on short panel and square lattice ef behind the image. Added some pearls and metal roses I've been hoarding, a ribbon, sentiment and popped up the main panel alnd sentiment on dimensionals. Only for Agent 9999 would I use my precious metal flowers.
Thanks so much for taking a look and hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!
