OKAY.....so I need to know if THIS has ever happened to any of YOU, or am I the only moron who ever did this?? I was stalking the challenge last night, cleaning up my stamp room and sort of killing time waiting for the challenge to come up to see if I was big enough for it before sleeping or NOT. So I went on there, noticed the one from last week and right above it, there was another one called Garden Pickin or something like that. I thought Oh goody gee, just when I thought they were making me turn away from the flowers......here is a flower challenge talking about it being the end of summer, etc. So we were supposed to feature something from our garden....so I made a card featured Black Eyed Susans which happen to be among my favorites and we have a mass of them in your yard that bloom at the tail end of the summer. PERFECT, right? I take at least an hour making my card, being careful to watercolor it with great detail....and then I download it, tell my story, blah, blah, blah, blah......and suddenly I notice that in the time it took me to make my card SIXTY EIGHT other people have already downloaded cards!!! Holy Shnikes this is a popular one.....so I go to the gallery and only then do I realize, my stalking was foiled cuz I just did an OLD CHALLENGE.....and the new one is STILL NOT UP!!!! Needless to say, I deleted my card, and today, I happily added some scallops to the bottom which really do make it cuter I have to admit and I am up and running!! Am I the only one out there who has ever done this???? Happy Friday everyone! I'm gonna go take a NAP since I was up till the wee hours working on THIS one last night!! ;) TGIF!!! ;)

O. M. G. (gosh) ... this is absolutely stunning!!! I absolutely LOVE your image panel embossed after it was colored. Not an orange fan here, but you've tempered it so well with the rusty flower centers and the black - Stunning, did I say that?

Good heavens girl! You mean you are actually human?!?! And all this time I thought you were just a card making machine! OK, you are a card making machine, but that's another story. This is stunning, gorgeous, beautiful and all the other descriptors that have already been used. Love that lattice embossing and your flowers are WAY awesome. And, truth be told, though I didn't see your card before the scallops, they are a great addition.

What an encredible look the embossing over the image gives, Karen. This is so fabulous. WOW!!
p.s. Last week I misunderstood a challenge and had to delete my beautiful card, so yes I know how you feel. At least you made it fit today's challenge perfectly.

Rest assured (hahahaha) that it is most definitely worth your loss of sleep.
The card is fabulous!!! I love the texture and never would have thought to emboss after coloring. Great colors and I love the scalloped border. It's the perfect finishing touch!
