Kept overall theme and elements. MAN can Pat LAYER her cards! I couldn't even begin to attempt all of the gorgeous luscious paper-crafting that she put on that tiny little card! I chose "Welcome" and "God Bless America" as both seemed like the perfect sentiments to sum up Pat, and all of her lovely comments, and her faith, and everything warm and fuzzy about her!
I did include a special element for her husband, THE Buckle Man. See the roof? I CUT a soda can with a KNIFE, turned it inside out, flattened it, and then stamped on it! I know, you are very impressed. I also made wavy hills with my new Fiskars knife! Okay, so it is not quite the Exacto Knife that you rave about, but it can fit around your thumb and it's SHARP!
Oh I have another card picked out that I HAVE to get to tomorrow, too. CONGRATULATIONS, Pat! Hugs and Snugs, too!

Oh Kelly! Don't ya know the first thing I did (when I stopped laughing) was to send that 'ol Buckleman a link to this! yeah, he may have some harsh words 'bout yer knife. (Shh...I am on your side, remember? Yeah, 'good list') Honestly, your scene is adorable and I love what you did! Knife? Really? I am impressed! I did cut a coke can to make a card at Shirt's one time, but that card did not end up here! lol! Amazing work Kelly, and amazing heart. Thanks for your friendship, and all the encouragement you bring to this place. And, thanks for goading the Buckleman, He needs that, ya know? Hug-N-Snugs! XOXOXO

Kelly, I can spot your work from a mile away. Another Schirmy original for sure. I love your interpretation of Pat's original and we are all EXTREMELY impressed with the tin roof. I would still be bleeding if I tried that. (I do keep a large box of bandaids close by at all times.) I love the hills and that perfect sun.

LOVE this awesome farm scene - the sunlight on your rolling hills is fantastic! Very cool CASE, and I love the fact that you can play with soda cans and knives. I don't get along very well with sharp tools.
