Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Bermuda, dark Gray and saffron.
Markie had a difficult time at school yesterday, and hid aunt's birthday is Wednesday, and I have 300 +1 things to get done, so no matter what, today's card was going to be a birthday card!
I used some of the papers from a Premium Paper Craft Pack, and some Basic Grey Papers for the patterns on today's card. I wanted to make a
"crushed rose" so I stamped the rose from Spring Roses 3 times and sponged all three. Next, I cut out the roses. I cut pieces from 2 of them and smashed them up. Next, I layered them together. I wanted to use a SILVER charm, and this rose was brass. So, I inked the charm in VersaMark and embossed it in Silver Detail powder. To finish it, I tried 4 different ribbons, and ended up with the polka-dotted one. So, I added dots around the layers to carry the pattern.
Finished card size: 6" square
Total time to complete: 43 minutes. (I fussed with the ribbon!)
