Card Size A2 – 4.25 x 5.5”
Measurements: wide orange border – 3.75 x 5”, leaf flourish panel – 3 1/8 x 4 3/8” plus black border which is not quite 1/16”, largest poppy panel – 2 x 1 ¼” and smaller poppy panels 1/14” square plus borders of 1/16” for both the orange and black.
-To get my background around the poppy images nice and dark I use the stamp positioner and stamp it twice and I really ink it up good both times.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-The out of the box feature is very easy by cutting to the image with the regular paper cutter on the front, marking the image on the back while holding to a light source then use the paper cutter again to cut to the mark. Scissor cut the image out. My paper cutter is a guillotine style.
-The nailheads are attached with Diamond Glaze (any lacquer product will work). To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of lacquer onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), then touch the end of a large corsage pin to the lacquer then to the back of the gem which picks it up, position it on the image and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the gem into position if needed before it sticks tight.
-I repurposed some pieces for my corner embellishments which are pieces normally discarded from the Iron Eagle punch from EK Success and Cuttlebug Vintage die cut. I put a drop of glue on waxed paper and use my corsage pin to pick it up the glue and spread it on the paper pieces and the pin will also pick them up for placing on the card.
-The leaf flourish panel is ink distressed.
Tools: EK Success - Iron Eagle punch, Cuttlebug Vintage die cut, cutting scissors, corsage pin, sponge

Oh wow! This is awesome, Roxie! I've been seeing that wonderful poppy image but you really kicked it up a notch. I debated whether to get the poppies, but I think I really need it, lol.

This is so gorgeous, Roxie, and you inspired me to mat my card layers with black!
