Today I am enjoying Jojot's gallery to the hilt. It's like I can't stop looking! I cased this card of Joanne's, keeping the over all layout but changed the direction of the card, using different colors and images:
This is an encouragement card for my friend Phyllis's mom, Herlinda, and is also my first go with Farm Life. I just love the peacefulness of this scene and thought she would enjoy it too, since she raised cattle.
The DP is cuttlebugged, using the woodgrain folder and is stitched onto the black base. The scene is watercolored, and Flower Soft applied to the tree and bushes. I used Liquid Applique for the clouds, and glued bits of straw on the fore ground.
Thanks for looking, and Joanne, thanks for the inspiration!

What a sweet card to send to Tate's mom. I knew as soon as I saw this in the gallery, that it belonged to my CA sis. I love the double row of the MS punch. Great colors and scene.

Wow! You're card is terrific. I'm going to make it up and send it to my aunt who is still farming at 90 years old. She'll love it. I especially liked the texture you applied to your project. The result makes the barn appear closer to the viewer. Yourbackground makes me feel like I'm in the kitchen looking out. I feel the warmth of the kitchen, smell the scent of straw being baled, feel the well being I had as child that all was well with world. Thanks.
