Whew, this challenge really sent me into orbit a bit. I'm sure everyone else thought of an easier way to do this sketch challenge; but, as usual, I take the long, hard road. It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but it is what it is. I'm still struggling a bit with the new in colors too, so that might have been part of the problem.
Here's the link to the Midnight Madness Challenge - they have great sketch challenges and prizes and I really enjoy doing these:
I used the new SU dsp (Cottage Walls) and mixed it with the stamp set Garden Greetings. You may not be able to tell, but I paper pieced the flower with some of the dsp and then filled it in with Crystal Effects to give it a real shiny look. I then doubled it up on dimensionals. I used the swiss dots ef on behind the image, swirls ef on the square scallop nestie frame and added flowers, bling and leaves.
Thanks so much for taking the time to look and let me know what you think if you have a second.

PS - did sparkleplenty really suggest that we are jealous of you? Oh, contraire! We LOVE our Pam ... some of us just wish we had a mere ounce of your great talent, but never ever jealous! You bring great things to this site with your creations and your warmth. I can say with assuredness that I am happier for it ...

I too haven't warmed up to all the new in colors, and I really miss riding hood red.Last year it took me a while too. You gave managed to work these colors well! I like the orchid with the razzleberry! Your layout is fantabulous, but the the Crystal effected Pieced flower ROCKS! Well done!
