Someone forgot to pony up the dough for our air travel to da MuddermarkÂ’s (thatÂ’s Mothermark to most of you) weekly tea party, so weÂ’ve been grounded in the good olÂ’ USA this week. IÂ’d like to thank Sabrina (Cook22), once again, for the grand time we had in Dublin last week. She is such a gracious hostess and really knew how to handle some of the rowdy ones in our group (I wonÂ’t mention names).
KrisChir sent da Muddermark a picture of this absolutely adorable teapot she owns for our inspiration teapot this week. IsnÂ’t it really cute?
I masked this kitty image and stamped it five times and colored them with Copic markers. The blue kitty in the middle is the head chef, so he gets the honor of wearing this cool chefÂ’s hat from H&M StampÂ’s ItÂ’s Picnic Time! Stamp set (the sentiment is also from the same set). YouÂ’ll note that the head chef also gets to wear a solid red bandana while the cat-erers-in-training are wearing their trainee scarves of gingham.
I used the sketch design from Midnight Madness. My color choices from the inspiration teapot also fit pretty good with a color challenge given to my Doubledog Dare group by sleepyinseattle (aka Joanne) to make a summer-themed card with summer colors! WhatÂ’s hotter than summer sun and real red with a bit of blue tossed in to cool us off a bit from all the hot, hot, hot colors?
Edit: Sadly, IÂ’ve learned that da Muddermark was not pleased with my cool CAT-ering staffsÂ’ menu choice to barbecue fillet of mousie. Seems sheÂ’s whimped out on us and has changed this shindig to a potluck. IÂ’ll bring soupe du jour (heh-heh-heh-----itÂ’ll taste like chickenÂ….trust me!)
I hope youÂ’ll have a chance to join us at the tea party today! That's Mothermark's blog link above to check out the details! We always have a lot of fun!

I was already to say that I loved your gang of cats stamp and then read about the masking - WOW! What a wonderful job you did at that. And all the coloring!
The colors of this teapot were great to work with and I love how you used them with this cool layout. The gingham ribbon is really a great touch (wish I'd thought of that!!!).
Now about the menu - maybe they can whip up some chocolate mouse and say it's mousse???

You people are the most talented stampers/crafters ever! Charlene you are right up there on top along with a few other partiers.....your images and colors are fantastic....of course your story stimulates all of us to get into it. My poor bird Indy is having a hard time this week with all the cats...and being an African Gray he can talk and all he is saying is "Get me out of here" So this week he wants to stay in his cage with the door locked! Oh did i tell you on the other side of my cake this week is decorated with M & Ms....your favorite and mine...yep...shhhh don't want everyone knowing where the M & M's are!
Great Job I totally love your card...Hats off ....TFS

I think this is totally fantastic, Charlene! Never would have guessed that you stamped the same image 5 times, what a fabulous stamper you are. Great coloring, great all the way around! Hope you aren't fileting up my little mouse pal ... we do have to keep an eye on you, don't we?!!!
