Hello everyone!
This is my submission for TLC225 ~ Handmade Paper, and for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog's one year anniversary celebration.
The technique for today was really fun. I used 3 colors of Acrylic Paints and dabbed them onto my GPW CS with crumpled up toilet tissue. If little bits of tissue came off it was great because that makes it look all the more like handmade paper. After I applied the colors I added some metallic shimmery gold. That was a nice look but because this is a child's card I wanted still more shimmer so I spritzed the whole thing with Shimmerz Spritz in Baby's Breath that I won on Jami's (Sgt Stamper) blog. I LOVE this stuff!!!
The sun came out this morning for about 5 minutes and I ran outside to get a photo that would show more of the shimmer.
My base is Creamy Caramel which I ran through the Bug with the zig zag EF. Then the next layer is my faux homemade paper, then Pretty in Pink Label 2.The image itself was stamped with Archival Jet Black on Watercolor paper and watercolored with SU! Markers. The sentiment is My Sentiments Exactly and is stamped on a Nestie Ribbon Tag Trio tag. The balloons and little flower were Sizzix Die Cuts.
