Oh, I was so excited that Maxie could join us in Oregon for New Years. She arrived by post just this past Wednesday after spending some time on the 'bay. Come have a limited (LSC200) and nostalgic (HCE07) visit with our beloved Maxie!
Taylor asked us to depart from the holiday theme and Christmas colors while Sara suggested a fond memory. Here's my take on these challenges.
Maxie is tooling around town in a hippie bus. Inkadinkadoo's road trip clear stamps were inked with VersaColor black on Basic Grey's Pheobe paper and embossed with clear ep. I cut the windows out and white penned the bumpers and the roof of the bus. I used a silver gel pen on the wheel covers and door handles. HIT THE ROAD is inked direct to paper with Adirondack snow cap and MAXIE is stamped with TH di worn lipstick, of course!!! Maxie herself, is inked with VersaFine smokey gray. I stamped her kerchief on the green from the BG paper group and embossed in clear and cut the butterfly free.. The pretty lattice border is from Martha's punch on the pink from the BG papers. I stapled the punched edge to the main panel. All there was left was to add a bit of sheer sky blue ribbon!
So if truth be told, this reminds me of my college days in the 70's...it was a psychedelic time of flower power, peace and love...I enjoy taking a trip down memory lane...I just don't wanna stay there...
Thanks for your fun comments, it is always a blessing to me!
I am editing to add this to Sharon Johnson's Friday Challenge. Maxie is one of my new images I received for Christmas!

LOVE this Susan! How fun! It made me think of when I was young, wearing bellbottoms and a strip of leather tied around my ankle...do you remember those? Definitely fun to remember but I agree! I sure don't wanna go back!
