I've been getting ready an art project for my trip to the coast with my friend this week. We always do something related to creativity when we get together and this time we'll make a memory book showcasing our trip to Kauai last fall. I've got the pics printed, selected tropical papers, and doo-dads...but as I was sorting through things, I saw this map paper and it had all the colors of today's challenge. IT was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! So I decided to create a card based on these events.
My card base is Paper Adventures tropical breeze group, blue stripe. I used the WUBE old Hawaii map paper put scanned into my computer and printed on GP white cs. I waded and crumpled. It is stapled with black staples and has dimension because of the crumpling. I stamped my memories (Rubber Stampede) onto SU soft sky with TH di vintage photo and embossed in clear. I sort of double stamped the memories to be fuzzy as a joke for my friend! I used A Stamp in the Hand's Avant-Garde man with a brain inked with soft sky. It is mounted in a wonderful embossed frame from a very cool K&CO die-cut pad of frames. I popped it above the mat. Speaking of the mat, it is river rock that has had SU cheesecloth stamped with Adirondack latte . I rounded the corners with a CM tool. The sticker is from a set I purchased while I was there, I UTEE'ed it to make it have more presence. I added primas and a rhinestone eyelet.
I love the softness of my card, I can almost smell the salt air and the breezes...I'll tuck this on my friends pillow when she gets here...to welcome her and to give her a hint of whats to come!!!! Thanks so much for looking and do let me know what you think!
