I love the inspiration pics; especially the colors. They reminded me of the almost ice cream colors of houses on Battery row in Charleston, S.C. My sis I went there a few years back and I really loved it. Also, I had so much fun w/ the photo and sketch card yesterday, I thought I'd try it again.
I scanned a couple of photos, then did some major color alteration on them. I really wanted to get an almost deco look to the Victorian row houses. This was just printed on regular paper. I think if I do this again I'll put it on photo paper.
So, I printed it and built the card around it. The lamp post (Beeswax) was stamped and colored, cut out and attached to blue c/s and cut around the right edge.
The row houses (Clearsnap rollagraph) were stamped and colored w/ markers as was the hibiscus (Sonlight). These make up my horizontal and vertical bands of the sketch. The word Charleston was handwritten. TFL

Julie, there's so much to look at here! That's the best part of a card - all the wonderful things to look at! I am very familiar w/Charleston so I have wonderful appreciation for those ice cream colored houses - wish I owned one! I especially love your rollagraph houses - that's just the greatest addition to an already amazing streetscape! What a visually stunning card!
