Had time to put together another one for this awesome challenge. This was another card that I had stamped and colored the image at an earlier time. It was just waiting for this challenge.
The flapper was inspired by the movie "Thoroughly Modern Millie". I remember seeing it on tv when I was a kid. For the life of me I couldn't find any good photos of the movie, so I'll just give you a link to some flapper fashion drawings. http://www.fashion-era.com/C20th_cos...houettes_1.htm
For this Millie, the tan bg was spritzed w/ bleach to get the mottled look you see. I stamped her then painted on bleach to remove the color from her and her dress. Then I painted in the color first w/ markers then w/ the Twinkling H2O paints. I drew a border around her w/ a gel pen. She has a feather in her headdress which was white but I colored it w/ a marker and added the little rhinestone.
The bg was dry embossed w/ a feather pattern of texture plate. The ribbon was added and attached in the middle w/ a fancy schmancy brad thingy. Then I attached it all to a tan card which I had also spritzed the front of w/ bleach. TFL

I love the colors in this card and honestly, you had the perfect embellishments for this flapper card...the little boa feather is the perfect touch! Wonderful job on this!

I LOVED THAT MOVIE!! I even had the book back in the day... Anyway - LOVE the mottled background! And that's a great use of the trellis fiber. I have some, but can never figure out what to do with it - thanks for a great idea!

I love your reference to that movie! Growing up, my little sister loved all of those old movies (she still does) and that was one of her favorites! Love your card - I am going to have to try what you did with bleach & then marker. Lovely!
