I loved this challenge, Jen, thanks very much! It was one of those 'ya know immediately' what you are going to do. Hope you had as easy a time!
I headed for Technique Tuesday's Calamity Jane capital alphas to compose my sH Ne. I inked them with VersaColor black and embossed in clear. The rockin' sockin' yellow DP is Basic Grey's 'oh baby' buttercup. I used a corner rounder on the edges of both the black and yellow papers. It is mounted onto white cs. The "I" in sH Ne is a vintage lightbulb stamp from Gumbo Graphics...I used the spica glitter pens on the metal bits and diamond glaze over the glass image. I added the fancy gingham ribbon with the scallop trim to gussy it up just a bit!
Speaking of lightbulbs, there is one in Livermore CA that has been illuminating the fire house since 1901...that's 5 years before the great quake in San Francisco. I used to walk my oldest son by the station house almost daily to have a look and that was in the early '90's! I'm giving this card to my youngest son, who has only seen the stories on Guniness Book of World Records...but I want him to remember to sH Ne no matter what! Thanks for your comments...

This is a card in your own unique style. Your choice of DP and letters is so coordinated and invokes an old-time style. Your story is also great and I hope your little son loves his card. Kathy
