I made this for my oldest son's birthday. Adam will be 23 tomorrow, and what an early Mother's Day present for me....he's coming home! He is in college and has a job and hardly ever gets to come home anymore. I am so happy that we will get to be with him on his birthday!
I am also happy that the challenge today allowed us to use the crimper...I needed a masculine card, so obviously, ruffles wouldn't work. I crimped the panel under the shells, and colored the images with watercolor pencils and an aqua painter.
All three of my boys always liked collecting shells when we went to the beach, so I hope he will like it. I hope you do, too. TFL!

Oh this is spactacular! I love the shells, and the sanded bg! Love the crimped panel... much more masculine than ruffles! I'm so happy for you that your son is coming home... I too thought "no way... she's not old enough for a 23 y/o!" LOL... the older I get, the younger everyone else seems! Great card... he will love it, and love being home for his birthday!

Ok, too funny! Your card caught my eye as I was looking for my card to see if anyone posted comments, and lo and behold...YOU did! I am honored after seeing THIS thing of beauty! Stunning and rustic all at the same time, it's really just absolutely perfect!
