This is a not-so-traditional bridal shower card for a co-worker. She's a Buckeye fanatic like I am, so I figured she'd appreciate it.
The main image is from Whipper Snapper, stamped with Marvy Dye black ink on Georgia Pacific cardstock. Colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. The umbrella was paper pieced using patterned paper and pop-dotted for dimension. The boots were coated with Diamond glaze for a little shine.
Various colored cardstocks and Ohio State patterned paper were used, as well as black brads.
The sentiment is inspired by the No Umbrella Rule in Ohio Stadium. The sentiment on the front reads: No Umbrellas Allowed at a Buckeye Shower.... Inside it reads: so that we can drench you with wishes of happiness always. Sentiment stamped with Karen Foster SnapStamps.
This fits today's WT163, using scissors, as the umbrella was cut and paper pieced.
Thanks for looking.

Hooray for you--going for the non-traditional makes it such a personal card. I love your way of thinking. It is an absolutely perfect card so well done.

What an adorable card! Love the color, the layout, and the story behind it all. Your printing for the sentiment looks professional enough to be a stamp.
