Here is my card for this week's sketch challenge. I have not used the SAB set Merci yet, and this sketch was the perfect opportunity to pull it out!
The main bg panels are bashful blue dp from the hostess benefits Prints Pack DSP. I matted the dp with chocolate chip cs. I stamped the sentiment (from One of A Kind) directly on the dp with chocolate chip ink. For the second layer of the sketch (the horizontal strip), I used chocolate chip satin ribbon (from Theater Ribbon Originals) and layered bashful blue taffeta ribbon on top of it. The third layer is the main image panel. The main image (from Merci) is stamped on watercolor paper with black stazon. I matted this panel with chocolate chip, bashful blue, and another layer of chocolate chip cs. I used reneejul1's No Copics?? No Problems!! technique to color in the main image. Here is a link to the tutorial on her blog: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_...ics-no-pr.html. Julie's technique was also this week's featured tutorial, here is a link to the SCS tutorial: Watercoloring With Markers Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I sponged chocolate chip ink around the image, I wanted to make it really pop. The entire main image panel is up on dimensionals. I felt like the card was kinda' naked, so I added some of the tooled brads from Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware in the corners.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!

You did a really nice job with this, the way you shaded and colored your image makes it just pop, had to save this in my favorites so I could try your technique. Thanks for sharing.
