The Karner Blue is an endangered butterfly that's only found in a very small section of pine barrens in our state capital. Lilacs are our state flower.

Elaine, this is simply beautiful! I love that little butteerfly from Bugs and Slugs. I was so sad that it was retired before I could get the set. Your coloring is gorgeous! I always look forward to seeing your cards.

The Karner Blue butterfly is also in an area outside Albany, New York in the Pine Bush. But the ones I've seen are more grayish brown, with just a touch of blue. Wish they were as pretty as your card!
