IÂ’m having some fun with alcohol inks and embossing. I saw a fabulous poster online and borrowed similar colors for my background.
-For better control of the inks I cut the background panel into sections, added color with alcohol inks, taped it back together and heat embossed with the CHF Weave Backgrounder using a clear powder and it has great texture without hiding the color.
-The flower image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits then heat embossed with two coats of clear powder; this helps brighten the color. To cut the straight line between the image lines I used a straight edge Coluzzle template then cut around the image with scissors.
-The image panel is popped up with foam squares.
I found the iris image at our local one of kind dollar store, who could pass up that dollar find! All other images are from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Roxie, this is absolutely awesome! I love, love, love the colors! Those alcohol inks are beautiful. I love the iris image too and the way the top of the flower and the leaves go outside the box. I really like the subtle stamping of the other images too.

OMG, Rox!! This just knocks your socks off!! Think it's time you moved from landscape to graphic art design! This is some awesome work and the colors with those alcohol inks is richer than rich--you need extra pats on the back for this exquisite piece of work--take a bow!
