Ever have one of THOSE cards? Shabby Chic!?!?!This is definitely mine. I received a box of chocolates from a neighbor and it had this gorgeous velvet flocked ribbon surrounding it. When the dirty girls projects and challenges were revealed Tuesday....this ribbon kept brewing in the back of my mind. Once today's way to use it challenge was revealed, I still was not convinced...so I made a very simple card...my thing...very safe. Then, I made this one. My two cards could not be more different in every way. I really stretched with this one. I love covered buttons. I usually do them with paper. I actually did them with this ribbon fabric which was not behaving properly, but I went with it anyway.
The bow thing was inspired by 4hounds gallery...her look is way prettier, but it was my inspiration.
What do you think? Kind thoughts...I was way out of my comfort zone!!!!

I totally know what you mean about Shabby Chic and comfort zones. I had the same kind of experience with my card today! But yours is gorgeous, so feel good! No worries here.

I simply cannot believe that you do not think this card is your style....Your style are cards that KICK BUTT, and this does just that! What a stunning creation!! I LOVE that you covered the buttons with the fabric, all you gorgeous colors and the nesties. When I got this set, I was so excited, and then felt like I could do nothing with it. It wasn't until I saw your cards that I got inspired...so THANK YOU!! TFS!!
