This is for a combination of two different challenges, Limited Supplies using numbers and no words and Ways to Use it using masking. I set out to make my daughter a birthday card for her 18th birthday. Well, as we all know, teens are all into having their first set of "wheels", so I tried to create a card signifying both turning 18 and attaining that goal of that all important first car. I sketched the car, (I know, don't quit my day job to be an automobile designer), and then drew the #18 hanging from the rearview mirror. I stamped the cute little teeny-bopper from the Girlfriend's set. I masked her with a Post-It and then filled in the scene using the fern stamp from Watercolor Minis (forever grateful for Kittie747 turning me on to that little tool; excellent for hiding flaws). I sketched the tree and fillled in leaves with one my new favorite sets from MFT stamps, It's a Jungle Out There. The car and girl are watercolored, and then I added a little Crystal Effects for the windshield and headlights. I cuttlebugged the BG with Bloom Dots EE. I hope my daughter enjoys this card, even if the car doesn't resemble a Mustang. TFL
