When I first saw this cat image from the Crafty Secrets booklet "Wacky & Wonderful Vintage Images," I immediately thought of my hubby's BIL Tom, who performs with his friend Terry in a Michigan folk singing duo called "The New Town Cryers." I was half way through making this birthday card for him when "The Mew Town Cryers" came to me. I've been giggling ever since. My hubby cracked up too. It's pretty funny that "Tom and Jerry" would work too. Hmmmm, perhaps on the inside of the card . . . . :o)
No stamps were used on this card. After cutting out the window, I ran the Confetti Tan cardstock through my Big Kick machine using the Fiskars texture plate called Music Notes. I applied the Encore Bronze metallic pad direct-to-paper to the raised images, and then used several markers with the spritzer tool for more dimension and texture. The dry embossed panel is up on dimensionals.
The sentiment is a custom rub-on transfer I created on my computer. See this thread for more information on how to make these: Forums at Splitcoaststampers I applied the Encore Bronze pad to the edges of the sentiment and then heat embossed it entirely with Versamark and clear EP.
The finished card measures 5 1/4 inches square.

Oh, good Heavens, Linda! Everything came together perfectly on this, but it took a creative mind to see it in the first place. I really like the Music Notes embossed background and how you made it even more special with your artistic touches. Tom is going to marvel at this highly customized BD card. It's so darn cute and it makes me giggle, too! Tee hee! Thanks for the fun visit!
