I made this for my Dad. On the back of the card used a stamp in the shape of a bull's eye with the words "BANG HEAD HERE" on it, and inside the card I wrote that seeing as DH and I could not be there to help with the birthday bumps, if Dad could please follow the directions on the back of the card 62 times instead. I just spoke with Dad tonight and when I asked him how he was doing he said he had a sore head. I was all worried about him and asked him why, and he said he'd just gotten his card in the mail. I don't know who's cheekier, him or me!
The backmost layer is a blue textured metallic paper that is about the same colour as the blue hearts, and on top of that is silver holographic paper, all to mimic the glitziness of a casino. If I could do this card over, I would make it a three by three grid so the 'reels' don't dominate so much. Doing all that inking and stamping was a lot of work for me. If I didn't have mostly unmounted stamps, I would never have attempted this card. As it was, I was able to place all the stamps for one reel on an acrylic handle, ink them separately, and stamp them all at once. This approach is not foolproof, however.
A listing of the stamps:
Paw prints, kitten -- Personal stamp exchange
race horses, little cars -- Viva Las Vegas Stamps
birthday sentiment -- My Sentiments Exactly
blue crown -- Cool Cat
heart, sun, yellow crown -- some foam stamp set from Michaels
Thanks for looking!!!
