This week we are sending some Tea Potter cheer and paper hugs to Susie, who recently lost her soulmate and is missing him so very much. Susie loves animals so our hostess, Lisa aka Shoe Girl, challenged us to use any animal on our cards. That was harder than you might think because I have a ton of animal images that I love. You know Gladys the Flamingo wanted to come to this party, but I opted for my favorite Giraffe instead.
The digital image was printed, colored and die cut with the stitched framing. Because giraffe's usually have their heads in the leaves (and I wanted to add some green for healing), I embossed the bg with a leafy ef. I wanted to add a garland of leaves across the card as a border but it didn't work; so I contented myself with adding leaves and flowers to the die cut itself. I did color a piece of white scrap in the same COPICS I used to color the giraffe and then cut the sentiment.
This gal (I always assume it's a gal) always makes me smile. I hope it does the same for Susie. And I hope your crafty endeavors today are making you smile too. TFL

Fabulous! This is the sweetest giraffe with perfect color/shading. Your designs are so cool (as well as your photos). The headline and coloring are superb... Betty

Your giraffe is super sweet, Debbie! Great coloring, and love the big Hello with the flowers peeking around it. I only hope that Gladys isn't sulking in a corner somewhere... :-)

Oh my goodness, this gal is something else, with that pink flower dangling from her lips - this will bring a smile for sure. And I love how you intertwined the flowers and greenery with the sentiment. Lovely card!
