For the Color Challenge hosted by Barbara. Her colors are bright and beautiful for a touch of summer in wintertime. The dessert option is Sunflowers.
I used these layering masks (stencils) for the first time. There are four masks to create the sunflowers & leaves. I like how they have a notch in the top; I drew a pencil mark at the point of the notch and it helped to line up the next one. I sponged the Crushed Curry on the petals and then sponged some Pumpkin Pie on the petals just at the center. Then I sponged Granny Apple Green for the leaves.
I used Pecan Pie (neutral) ink in the center. I did not care for the last mask that adds detail to the center, so while keeping the mask in place; I stamped Itty Bitty Backgrounds splatter in Pecan Pie ink.
The complete stenciled panel is big, so I had to cut it down to fit on my A2 card. I rounded three corners and stamped a sentiment in the bottom right. A strip of green DSP on a PP card base with some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. Three green gems on the leaves. Wink of Stella in the sunflower centers. Love the sparkle!

I love your stenciling--those flowers look terrific. I also really like the yellow twine you used on the side. I have so much of that and always forget how nice it looks. I'm going to pull some out for my next project. Love this!
