This is for Wednesday's WCW-atmospheric landscape and today's IC: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/561050066097116802/
The past couple of days, I've had a play with trying to be 'atmospheric'. I was a little intimidated by CeeCee as I couldn't really follow her process. But as I contemplated that, I found another video that intrigued me. It's by Karen Rice, watercolor artist, and she used little pouring cups to pour watercolors, very random, no plan, what you get is what you get. Some very strong similarities to what CeeCee was after so I thought I'd upload this one too. No brushes were used. Randomly spritzed the paper, poured the paint and tilted the page. Tried to not over tilt to keep the colors a bit separated. I wanted to use Payne's gray but do you think I could find that tube?? I found other tubes. I always think I know where things are...not so much. I used a lighter gray, mixed with a sky blue of Marena's and quinacridone gold. That is the most fabulous color, a favorite besides Payne's Gray. I don't know how I was so lucky to get those 'tree trunks' but I was. I added a little salt on the tree tops while still wet but I think I brushed off a little too soon. Thanks for the challenges! I had a lot of fun with watercoloring.
