This week we are taking the Tea Party to Mary for a bit of cheer while she is recovering from surgery. Mary loves plants, especially succulents, and our hostess asked us to use them if possible on our cards. Alas, succulents do not grow in my stamp garden; but, the most common succulent in my area is Echeveria and that reminds me quite a bit of a rose. I added a pic of one up in the corner.
So, I pulled out my favorite rose stencil and attempted Echeveria coloring. I wanted more blueish green than I had, so I ink blended blue over the green on each layer of the stencil. I then went back and added the bright pink. I tried for a softer pink but it looked too brown so I opted for a fuchsia tone instead. I colored silver nailheads with a COPIC marker. The sentiment stamp has another section which I didn't think fit the occasion so I masked that off. Unfortunately I didn't notice the last section here ended with "and" so I will add "supported more than you know" to the inside. I hope that saves it.
Well that was my crafting adventure today. Honestly, I'm not a succulent person so I am just hoping this "rose" looks like one and not a head of cabbage...eek...but maybe Mary likes cabbages too. I am sure she will like and enjoy all the love, prayers and support headed her way from all you great stampers. Hope you are enjoying your crafting adventure today too. TFL

Gorgeous and so very creative of you, Debbie! I love how you colored that beautiful rose image. I think it's very clever of you to continue the sentiment inside the card to finish it!

I got a text last night from Mary. She asked me to thank everyone for the cards. This is what she said, "Just absolutely amazing! Every one is different -- every one is full of kinds and encouraging words! Thank you! What an amazing gift!
