Today's Tea Party is for Mary, who was recently diagnosed with her second breast cancer after her first 16 years ago. She has finished chemo and has just had proactive preventative surgery. Mary loves plants, especially succulents, so I've attached a hanging planter with some. I used today's Color Challenge palette because I thought they would make it cheerful. I stamped the image and then masked it to add the brocade BG in Daffodial Delight and colored with blending pens and colored pencils. The Daffodil Delight beam served two purposes; one to give the planter something to hang from, but also to cover a smudge!

Beautiful combination of those colors! Very clever cover-up, too! :-) I would never have guessed it was covering a smudge. Love that hanging plant!

Thank goodness for smudges because they lead us to some great designs. That beam is perfect for hanging that delightful potted plant. I ADORE the way you masked the image and then added the brocade -- it's stunning. Beautiful coloring of a beautiful scene which you finished off with that lovely sentiment. Fabulous card, Faith.

Faith, you used this week’s colors to perfection; I thought they’d make for a cheerful card, too! I love the hanging basket of succulents, and love the beam. You know, mistakes are simply opportunities for embellishment!
