This is my sample for the Color Challenge hosted by Karen. Her colors are: Blushing Bride, Soft Seafoam and Very Vanilla. The dessert option is to use your favorite bling.
When I make a card, I often stamp extra for later and in some cases, I make two or more at the same time. I could not decide to use a vanilla or seafoam card base, so I did one of each.
I stamped the flower for May birthdays, which is Lily of the Valley and stamped the Happy Birthday Frame separately. Die-cut both in stitched squares for layering. Using a blender pen, I lightly colored the leaves with the Soft Seafoam and a little Blushing Bride on the bell-shaped petals. Then I remembered these flowers being white. So I painted on one side of each petal with white shimmer paint. Something magical happened. When the card is turned to one side, the pedals look shimmery white, when the card is turned the other way, the pedals look slightly pink. Interesting effect.
I layered Blushing Bride DSP on a mat and then onto the card base. Adhered the layered panels and added a die-cut bow. For dessert, my favorite bling is crystals. I love that sparkle!
What beautiful, soft colors. The gallery will be lovely. I hope you will play along. TFL
