This is for yesterday's colors-flirty flamingo, real red and white and today's sketch. I enjoy the sketches, rarely do I look at one and think 'now what?!' so I like to make them work for other challenges. I don't own real red, strangely...I think it's because I worked at Target for almost 7 years and have an aversion to true red. I don't wear it any more.
The theme for ABC18 is toys. G is for GI Joe. Now, wait a minute, what does this card have to do with GI Joe?? Well, the hearts are made with the camouflage technique, which is swiping ink and crumpling, many times over and I will give this to my son and his wife for Valentine's Day. My son's name happens to be Joe. I swiped the flirty flamingo, the candied apple and merry merlot over the cardstock, crumpling in between so new ridges were formed to swipe against. My dessert for the CC is the addition of silver. I also swiped a Versamark pad on top and added the pearl ep but it does look silvery. So I went with real silver around the edges of the hearts. I've had the Valentine date stamp for a while; the years stopped at 2017 but I can still use the sentiments and date.
Thanks for the challenges!

Love the camo technique on your hearts and the pretty V-Day card for your son Joe (that is my Dad's name too). Great way you added the sentiment as well.
