Today's Tea Party is for our friend, Carlene, who is having health problems and hasn't been able to join us for a bit. So the Teapotters will bring SCS to her. Jacqueline is our hostess and has challenged us to use stencils on our cards. I've also combined this with yesterday's TLC and I had so much fun making this card. I will definitely make a tag card again. It's brilliant and it looks so cute. I had these bears on the bridge waiting for some ink, so I chose my snowflake stencil and decided I would use some Nuvo mousse with it. But I wanted a cool mixed media look for it, so I started with that paint scraping technique that we did a few months ago for the TLC, and scraped some aqua and glitter paint down some blue cardstock. I just love the results of that technique, and it made a perfect background for my snowflakes which I stenciled with Nuvo mousse and glitter paste. The bears got cut out with my ScanNCut and colored, and then I needed something at the bottom of the tag to balance the fancy top. I took a piece of white cardstock and swiped it with Antique Linen DOX ink and then sprayed it with some perfect pearls infused water and Nuvo Mica Mist. That worked. And can you believe I forgot the Stickles? Don't worry, I have since applied the appropriate amount of Stickles to my scene. Sending this warm hug off to Carlene today. I hope you'll join us!
