Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us such a pretty combination of light and dark colors: Balmy Blue, Fresh Freesia and Pacific Point. The dessert option is to add our favorite pink.
This card is also for TLC926, TAG shaped card, this week's Technique Lover's Challenge.
I started by making my background paper with watercolor cardstock and Distress Reinkers in Tumbled Glass, Victorian Velvet and Blueprint Sketch. I taped the cardstock down to a board, sprayed liberally with water, then "painted" the colors randomly on the paper, allowing the colors to spread. I think I accidentally qualify for dessert! Some of the colors combined magically to create a pink along with the light and dark blues and the purple. Bonus!
After that layer was dry, I used a tag die to cut the shape, and another one in white as the back of the card. I "dyed" the ribbon with Victorian Velvet reinker, cut the mandala from Vellum, and created three roses from this week's palette. Added a greeting.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along in both challenges this week!

Gorgeous tag card. Thanks for describing how you created the panel that you cut the tag from. I like your "accidental dessert". The elements are so pretty and feminine. Love the roses in the challenge colors. Wonderful dyed ribbon. Lovely creation!
