I was very sad to make this card because of who it is for and why it will be sent. Our tea party is for a friend of Lee's, Julie, whose 3 week old baby died from a birth defect. Julie also has an autistic son. Oh my, there are no words for this. i can't imagine how they are feeling and coping.
This is a quadruple threat...four challenges. As I said, it's for the tea party for Julie, Karen's TLC (reversing strips), Pol's MIX last week (use cardboard) and today's sketch from Lisa. I often combine a Tuesday challenge with the sketch.
For the TLC, I used umpteen DOx sprays and a Lindy's Gang spray on top. I don't think it looks much different than if I had used it the way I cut the strips but I surely like the effect. I decided to dry emboss the panel too for more texture.
I know the flowers look like white cardstock but I did cut them from a white shoebox I'd saved. There is some nice texture if you look closely and I sponged some Brilliance inks on them. I was surprised how well they cut since the cardboard is fairly thick (it is brown inside).
Very nice sketch, Lisa...I did use flowers, a new funky flower dieset for me. I used very calming colors for this sympathy card.
Thanks for all the challenges and for allowing me to combine.

Jean, this is too cool for all the challenges. The texture is perfect and still remains very soft and sweet and perfect for a sympathy card. Love everything you did. Hugz
