This week's Featured Stamper, lisacurcio2001, has a Gallery that is sure to inspire you over and over and over. It is loaded with beautiful cards, designs, fabulous folds and the kitchen sink...well, not literally, but she does have a bit of everything. And, while I found much to inspire, this card just really sang to me...as you can see: 7 Handmade Birthday Cards to Make in 5 Minutes by lisacurcio2001 at Splitcoaststampers. I love the contrast of the dark and white with the geometric patterned panel and the monotone color palette. I think this design is so versatile, I can even see making Christmas cards with wreaths or trees or ornaments. But I didn't and I made these instead:
(1) Dark Teal Card: As soon as I saw Lisa's card I knew I wanted to try this in color. I originally thought pastels, but loved the contrast with the dark so used this deep teal instead. To make the geometric panel, I used two line bg stamps and moved and turned them to fill up most of the white space ala Lisa's dp. I didn't have matching twine so used white floss instead.
2) Gray and Violet card: I wanted to see how it would look with a bit of color so I stamped just the flower in violet and the rest in gray. It's nice, but I think I prefer the monotone cards. I used an ef for the geometric panel.
3) B&W card. This gorgeous dp was a gift to me from Diane (aka DCinkit) and I instantly knew it would look great in this design. Thank you Diane!
4) Red/Heart card. And, I wanted to see what it would look like with something other than flowers. I already had the hearts in my stash and layered them to get a bit of color in the heart. Moved the sentiment to the image (heart). Added the flourish at the top for a bit of interest and the scrappers floss at the bottom for the same. The geometric panel was made by swiping ink inside the ef. I had to do that twice to get a good coverage of red. I love the distress look you get from this technique. I will be saving this card for my hubby's Valentine.
Congratulations Lisa and thank you for all the beautiful work and instructions. I got lost in many of your videos and plan to visit them again for future inspiration. I hope you enjoy the cards you inspire this week. And, I hope everyone is feeling inspired today as well. TFL
P.S. Lisa must be waaaaay better organized than me, because it took longer than 5 minutes to make a card. LOL. But, it is still an easy and quick design.

This is a beautiful group of cards! It was instructional to see all four similar designs with the details that set them apart. Would make a great gift set! Lovely!
