This card is for today's Alphabet challenge letter L for lace, for yesterday's tea party challenge, and I used an old sketch, slightly modified. It is kind of hard to see it, but I have a piece of lace running across the panel in the background. Also the bottom right embossed panel was done using the Lovely Lace embossing folder so I think I have lace covered.
Yesterday's tea party is for a sweet friend's mom and we are sharing joy. I have shared a favorite verse for encouragement and I have an assortment of dry embossed panels which make me happy (plus I used some stash in the creation of this card which also gives me joy!).
I selected the three embossed panels and dragged my Coastal Cabana ink pad across all three of them to highlight the embossing. I also dragged it lightly across the sentiment panel for some texture behind the verse.
After adhering my three embossed panels to white card stock, I added the strip of lace. I heat embossed the sentiment for some shine and matted that panel with a narrow mat of black. I did do a mirror stamped bird in the lower right corner though it isn't a cardinal. To finish the card, I added the rose die cut from Melon Mambo. I hope Berniece likes her tea party!
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

This looks beautiful using this sketch, Catherine, quite a lot of work has gone into this with all the different stamping/embossing and I love the lace!

The extra inking on the embossed panels really helps bring out the designs you have used here. The pop of red from that lacy rose quickly brings one's eye right to your inspiring verse.

I love this verse too, Catherine. Love the coastal cabana and the red rose die, which I have not used much so it is inspiring to see it on your card. Wonderful to add the bit of lace. Love your little bird. His eye is on the sparrow!
