If it's not too bold to say it, I think I have a bit in common with Ardyth. I love techniques and color. Maybe the difference is I create backgrounds for stash, then figure out how to use them. So that's where my card comes from today. I liked the idea of simple shapes, one inside another, staying in a certain color way. I dug through my stash and found some pieces in red, orange and yellow (I'll get to that in a minute) and diecut deckle edge rectangle borders from each piece. They fit tightly inside each other, unlike Ardyth's circles. One piece is a gel print using a Carabelle stamp, the next is a stenciled piece using DOx (I think), the third piece is a random alcohol ink background using the Pearls. The last piece I cut is in the center, it is from a photograph of the Dale Chihuly ceiling at Bellagio in Las Vegas. My daughter visited there years ago, took the picture as a panoramic and I asked for a copy. I just recently came across it and put it in my unorganized stash of treasures. I find it remarkable that I found it fairly quickly. I like to organize but my stash has gotten out of control.
This is also for yesterday's IC, inspired by this Dale Chihuly calendar: https://www.calendars.com/shop/chihu...r/202200002231. I love glass of all types and he fascinates me. That's why I chose the colors I did and computer generated a quote from him. The mirror rainbow cs is a nod to the glass. It's funny how you can see all the colors in this photo, as I mostly see warm colors irl.
Ardyth, it was pure pleasure to honor you. I'll be back again this week.

Wowee! Dale fascinates me too and this is a wonderful tribute to Ardyth. Wonderful quote by him and I can now agree. I did not used to care for orange, but now I like all the colors! You have brought all the colors and textures together to make a beautiful card!

Wow! I love how you took that concept of shapes within shapes to create this. Chihuly glass is remarkable and that quote from him is great. Fabulous tribute to both Ardyth and Chihuly.
