I have never done this technique before; I think there is a tutorial on SCS but I don't know the name. The heart is a bunch of flowers and leaves, floating above the base. I watched a Natasha Foote video yesterday and was inspired to try.
This is for today's sketch, complete with vertical element this time, and this week's colors, which are lovely. I stenciled with pear pizazz and added a bit of mossy meadow for depth. Guess what? I colored!!!! Yes I did! You can probably count on one hand the times I've colored the past two years or so, just not my forte. I used pinks, reds and light green alcohol markers after stamping and heat embossing the flowers and leaves. I fussy cut everything, no dies that went with this set. I think this is just like the technique where you use Press and Seal but I used a 4" wide mint tape from Scrapbook.com. The technique isn't difficult, just time consuming.

Gorgeous. I'm loving your new CAS approach to your cards and this is a perfect example. Great floral heart with the bit of stenciling on the base. Great technique. I can imagine it was a lot of work, but well worth it. Natasha Foote seems to be getting mentioned a lot. I guess I need to go check her out. Thanks for the push to do that

Love that you colored your pretty heart and the stencil for the background looks great.

Lovely! The challenge colors drew me to your card and I was immediately taken by the floating heart. It is so cool how one side is straight cut and the other side is cut around the petals and leaves. Beautifully done. Into my favs.
