I really enjoyed browsing our Featured Stamper's gallery this morning. Marilynmac has such wonderful and fun cards! When I found this one I remembered that I had the perfect set of dies to create that scene. So I die cut the island from sandpaper and the trees and hammock from scraps. I loved the color of Marilyn's sky, so I stuck with the same colors. I went digging for some blue glitter paper for the ocean, but I couldn't find it, so I just covered the water with Stickles. The tree trunks and palm leaves are sponged with ink to give them more dimension and the coconuts are covered with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I saved the sentiment for last and didn't really have a plan, so I just stamped this one that chose where it would fit. I think it looks OK. And I drew in some birds for balance. Thanks, Marilyn, for the inspiration!

Awesome sky and water...I thought it was glitter paper...and brilliant to use sand paper for the island. The birds were a great addition. The sentiment reminds me of old vintage postcards, which I always think is so fun. This is one warm and happy greetings from some warm happy place (unlike MA which is a cold happy place right now...LOL). Hugs.
