I have to admit I have struggled with this card for this week's Tea Party Guest, Kati. Kati is facing the end of her life and we are sending paper hugs her way. After many false starts, I landed here -- my attempt to be "artsy" for Kati the artist. There's probably way too much stuff on this, but I tried to incorporated many of Kati's loves:
--She loves the beach: I started with blue for the ocean. There are also seagulls, a shell and a starfish.
--She loves kids and photography: This stamp of a young girl reminds me of a photograph.
--She loves gardening: Three of these flowers were too large for the scene, so I scanned it into my computer and resized to get the slightly smaller one on the right.
--She loves music: It's a bit difficult to see, but I stenciled some musical notes near the top with Nuvo glitter paste. It's shinier IRL but still not obvious so I also stamped some musical notes about.
To make the card, I stamped the CHF stamp then dabbed gesso around the image to blur the rest of the stamp and just highlight the girl. Stenciled; pasted; stamped; added die cuts.
I don't think this is a "happy" card per se, but I do think it is peaceful and I hope when she spies the little bits of things she loves that it will also bring her some bits of joy. I hope your day is filled with bits of joy too. TFL

I was looking and looking at this, before scrolling down, to see if I could think who had made it. The beautiful big flowers should have given it away, I know they are a speciality of yours. But the little white birds are something Anita uses a lot - and I love the little shell and starfish tucked in unexpectedly. The wistful image seems a very good choice to me. I do see the music notes, and of course I like those too.
