A card for today's MMTPT703 challenge, sending hugs to Kati, a '30 something' old gal who is possibly terminally ill. My prayer is that all the paper hugs she receives will bring her joy and comfort.
Now, my story. Today was my first attempt to stamp this wonderful windmill/tulip stamp set. It is harder than it looks, to get the rows of flowers evenly spaced and distance focused. But I didn't want to throw out the paper, so I imagined this is how things went down on the farm.
It was mom and dad's wedding anniversary, and they went to Paris to celebrate, leaving Johnnie to finish planting the last field. He was also in a hurry, as he wanted to go to his friend's house to watch the football game: Holland vs Italy. He roughly lined up the rows and started the tractor to plant the bulbs. Looking into the sun, he sort of lost the exact end of the row, so the left row was a bit further apart. Each colour was planted in batches and right when he was almost finished, he looked at his watch and saw it was almost time for the football game to start. He decided to finish the last bit tomorrow. That evening it started to rain and it rained for the next 2 days. The fields were not dry enough for planting for several days, and Johnnie was enjoying the time playing video games with his buddies and partying in the evenings. The day before his parents were due home, he decided he should finish planting. Hurriedly grabbing the sack of bulbs and putting them into the planter, he did not see that they were a later blooming variety. All was well until next spring, when, the center portion of the field did not bloom along with the rest!
That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Kati will love this beautiful scene you created .... and don't forget to include a copy of your story! It's delightful!

A great story - but I think the tulip field looks as if Johnny had done a pretty good job. I was just looking at the set the other day and wondering how easy it would be to stamp. The windmill is fantastic.
