Our challenge this week is to feature something we collect. I love to bring home shells from walks on the beach, especially from favorite places, such as Martha's Vineyard. To make this card, I tore a piece of Crumb Cake for the sand and mounted it with sky DSP on a double matte of white and lavender. The stamp of the woman has her dangling her legs off a boat. I colored her with watercolor pencils and fussy cut, leaving out the boat so I could tuck her up on the dunes. I sprinkled real Martha's Vineyard sand over some Nuvo glue and added a couple of tiny shells (from a craft store - I can't part with any of my found treasures!) The card base is So Saffron, which I thought picked up the yellow in her straw hat. Making this card really made me happy...I may have to make another for myself! TFL

This card is so beautiful and special with your MV sand! Great idea to have the woman with her toes in the sand. My parents are on their way home right now from their Marco Island vacation where my mom loves to pick up shells.

Oh gosh, love your sea shells. When I moved to the beach I walked the beach everyday collecting sea shells. They now sit in my hutch drawer in cases.LOL I collect too many things...LOL
