This week's Teapot Tuesday is our chance to show off what we collect by using your collection as an inspiration for your card. I collect Salt & Pepper shakers -- I try to find ones that have a touch of humor and where the two shakers are not identical, but simply related in some way The inspiration for my card is an S&P set of a kitten and a huge ball of yarn (shown on the right side of the photo). In place of kitten and yarn, the card features an inquisitive cat checking out a fishbowl. To create the scene, I used a piece of patterned paper to be wallpaper and a piece of woodgrain paper to be a table. The cat and fishbowl are fussy cut and arranged so the cat can check out the fishbowl. The corners feature paper piercing (my nod to the holes on the salt and pepper shakers.) Check out the Teapot Tuesday Forum for details about the challenge and Tickle a Teapotter exchange.

I love cats too and could be tempted to buy a salt and pepper shaker set like this one if I ever came across one. Perhaps I had better stay away from the shops. I would definitely need more space if I started another “collection”.

Oh my gosh I had no idea you collect salt and pepper shakers. This is super adorable!!! My hubby has a collection of salt and pepper shakers but only for his chess board. It took him years to find all the right pieces and it is a great collection and wonderfully displayed in our home.

What a fun collection! I love unique salt and pepper shakers. I think the cat and fishbowl would be a great one too! Thanks for such a fun challenge, Sandy!

Very cute image and sentiment (although the fish probably isn’t too pleased) and the piercings are a nice accent to the corners. I used to use piercings more often but they just fell out of my repertoire somewhere down the road…thanks for renewing my interest in them!

I love this cat image. Such a fun card. At first I thought it said Hairy Caturday. I guess because I told a friend my cats sprinkle cat hair like fairy dust. This card is so cute.
