Bountiful Harvest...it's that season once more! Thank you, Pol, for inviting me to suggest a prompt. I am struck by the abundance of the season. Please check out the MIX this week, surely there is a new catalog in your post box. I used the entertainment section from my local newspaper for my project.
I couldn't help but fussy cut the 'leaf guitar' and marvel at the genius of seeing a maple leaf and thinking: WOW, I am turning this beautiful leaf into a nature guitar! A tip: if you use newsprint for images, back the newsprint with a moderately heavy paper before you cut the image. It will help you when you go to emboss or mount on your card base.
I used various chunky and glittery embossing powders on the leaf. They played well together...I used a VersaMark two sided tipped pen to apply. Also flicked a bit of gold shimmer.
To continue the MIX of media, I added vintage sheet music from a gifted leaflet from the '30's. It was embossed with a Darice Musical EF. As I was embossing all the edges, the paper was so old it started falling apart in places...I used Gesso to apply it to the Arches paper. I kind of like all the wrinkles, texture and rough edges...
As I was thinking of seasons changing and leaves beginning to turn, of course, the Byrds classic comes to mind. I used the colors selected by Barbara (bejoyce) for CC863 to make the 'turns'.
Bounty is everywhere...please bring yours to the gallery...Thanks for stopping by.

Susan, your maple leaf guitar looks fabulous, so creative, and I do love the row of birds perched on it! Great bg and the 'turn' sentiments just perfect on this Autumn themed card!
