We are tickling each other this month for Teapot Tuesdays and Jen/Miss Boo, our hostess, challenged us to use an encouraging word or quote as the focal point, then to use two complementing patterned papers. Extra points for using autumn colors - I hope I get cookies!
I do hope that Jen will give me a pass for not using exactly two patterned papers - I got carried away and used 5 instead! I was trying to case this card by Shannon Kay, so I hope you forgive me! I did not have a die to cut these papers, so I just cut it freehand. As for the autumn colors, the patterned papers I used have yellow, olive green, brown and specks of orange and red, and of course, the flowers are red (aside from the obvious fact that I used orange for my background to make up for the lack of it in the card, LOL).
I remind myself of this quote a lot - I like to think that I am patient with other people, but for some reason, I am impatient with myself. I do think that most people, in general, put a higher bar on themselves. If someone needs help, we are probably the first ones lending a hand, however, when we do need help, we are probably the last one to ask for help. This is basically a reminder to treat ourselves more kindly - because we cannot be strong all the time.
Thank you for a challenge that made me reflect, Jen, and thank you also to Sabrina, who keeps our Tuesday tickles running smoothly! Most of all, thanks for looking!

I love the hand-cut freeform style of your rolling hills. It's far more natural than the die cut look and therefore coordinates perfectly with that lovely sentiment. Nailed it!

Oh my friend, I hope you can hear me applauding your sentiment from here in Texas. Such a great truth that I'm sure many of us have never considered to be an option in our lives. Love the fun DP garden rows and that cool flower that has decided to bloom there.

such truth here, Gem! I positively love the diagonal papers and their movement up that hill. The yarn poppies add so much dimension and color. Gotta love your case...fav'd so I can come back a case you!
