Looney Llama has some friends visiting from another country and he is giving them a tour of his beloved Arizona desert. They plan to stop by Tom's place later to bring him some Teapotter cheer and a bit of small talk.
I started this card by die cutting the stitched panel which I masked and then ink blended the sun and sky. I used a circle die to cut a mask for the sun. Die cut various slopes of differing colors for the AZ landscape. Colored, die cut and assembled the characters. Many moons ago I saw this fabulously fun card by Sandy Allnock -- oh to be able to draw like Sandy -- and it was her card that gave me the idea to have this jeep cantering through the desert. Isn't this card great:
I hope Tom doesn't mind a bunch of critters dropping by; but I wanted him to have a lot of friends show up to show him we are all out there pulling for him and praying for his recovery. I hope this ragtag group of friends makes him smile and think about some of his fun times with friends. I hope you are enjoying your day and that you, too, can enjoy the company of good friends--even if it's just online. TFL.

Tom will have no choice but laugh out loud when he opens this delightful card ..... what a great scene you've created with these adorable critters. I lost my heart to that cute ostrich!! I think Tom will just love having them drop in for a visit!!

Your card had me chuckling while checking out the many fantastic details of your card, Debbie! Add myself to the set of people whose heart was stolen by your armadillo, LOL! Aside from your cheerful critters happily cruising along, I also love the low rolling hills you created...ultra fabulous card!

Debbie, this is sure to put a big ol' smile on Tom's face. It sure is on mine. Love the Arizona cactus. Nice touch on that. The looks on the animal's faces are hilarious. I keep scrolling back up to see what else you did and love your big sun and rolling hills and oh that armadillo on a roll- awesome indeed! LOVE!

Oh my goodness! I spotted this card in your gallery and just had to comment - it is so dang entertaining! Your design goes beyond cute, it is inspired! Love every thing about this card - my Fav is the the little armadillo curled up hoping to miss the tire. This card has it all and somehow is CAS - this is not easy to accomplish, but you did it. A+++ from me! TFS
