For this weekâs CC challenge, Chris selected bumble bee, soft succulent and poppy parade, with a dessert option of dry embossing. This is a lovely color combination and made me think about succulents so I played with my cactus stamps and then decided to use this previous SC design SCS837 by SCSketches at Splitcoaststampers for SC866 â pick a previous sketch. Of course, I mashed it up a bit but I liked the three panels. I didnât have the exact colors so worked with the best color match I could come up with. I stamped the cactus pots with soft suede and then colored them in with alcohol markers. Added some red using stamps from other cactus sets. Matted panels with soft suede. Embossed the BG panel with paper studio brick EF. I inked the folder with a bit of soft suede before embossing and then splattered with some red tone markers. Added some twine and a stripe of washi tape. TFL

This is an outstanding southwest style card .... love the brick background, the twine and the Washi tape additions. The three cactus panels are wonderful!

That textured brick background is absolutely awesome. I love it has the backdrop for this trio of cacti!!! That washi tape just seemed to add an additional layer to the texturing. Great card!
