Not difficult, just time consuming. This is pretty much a steal from Natasha Foote. She did a video with this technique she calls retiform. I've never seen this before, at least not the way I know retiform, so gave it a try. Only color I had was old olive.
I cut a rectangle of scrap cs and traced with the Sharpie, going in different directions. I used DOx inks (spun sugar, victorian velvet and vintage photo) to sponge on color, not very smoothly so it would look more vintage, edged a bit with the vintage photo, then stamped in the black. I masked with many post it notes. I used two markers to color most of the leaves and then sponged a little lilac on the centers of the flowers and butterflies. A few butterfly gems completes this. I think I will add a little glitter pen and finally a sentiment. Couldn't decide the occasion, maybe anniversary for my sister and brother in law. Our dresses were these colors for their wedding.
