The alpha challenge was to use ugly papers. My first thought was if I have papers that I don't like, why would I put them on a card and mess up some perfectly good artwork. So in order to get around that, I decided to alter the ugly papers and that's what I did. I pulled out a piece of paper that was a mass of dark holly leaves just crammed all together. A whole 12"x12" piece of paper. So I got out two colors of acrylic paint and proceeded to completely cover up that piece of paper. Do you see any holly leaves? Now I have some paper that I can actually use. I had a request to make a card for this week's teapot challenge recipient, so that's who this card is for. Hence the dance theme.
This card style was a challenge for Dare to get Dirty back in 2018. It's a fun Z-fold pop up.

I recognized that fold from the DTGD challenge! It looks fabulous here. What a perfect sentiment. That ugly paper challenge makes me chuckle. I only have beautiful papers--well, that may be a stretch, I could maybe find some.

How creative to turn an ugly paper into a colorful cool one! Love the fancy fold, and also the way you colored the blue flowers and dancer. Very nice card!
