WT831 = What's Old is New - use your oldest stamp in a new way.
I'm not sure if this is my very oldest stamp but it's definitely from my first year of stamping. There are a couple of cards using it on the oldest page of my SCS gallery.
I used it with a new background technique I just learned from an Eileen Godwin video ().
Using a straight edge and blending brushes, I lightly brushed four colours of ink on the background, turning the straight edge every time I changed colour. Then using the same colours, I lightly stencilled over top of it.
Then I added the old image and sentiment to the top of it, trimmed with a stitched rectangle and popped it up on fun foam.

Your soft-colored yet touch of hard-edge background fading to softening complete image just grabbed my heart and especially with the solid image up front....ideal for a sympathy card.
